Success

What is success? To the average individual it symbolizes a dollar bill, but I personally feel that is not the case. Success to me is determined by one's character. I was sitting in the park the other day, just relaxing and doing some reading. Accross from me was a man sitting on a bench. At first, I started to feel for this man because he seemed so helpless, and you could tell by his appearence that he was somewhat down on his luck. After observing this man for a while, sipping on his coffee cup without a care in the world, I realizerd that he seemed more content with his life that those peole who's main concern is extravagent country clubs. I feel that it is people like this man, sitting on a park bench, that truly have a peace and understanding of what is really important in life. If i were to walk over to him and talk with this man, I feel I would get a more positive response from him than those indivisuals who measure success by a dollar bill.
